Mother Philosophy is a flexible philosophy.
The story of Dodo Bird.
The dodo bird, which once lived on the island of Mauritius, had no natural predators and abundant food. Over time, it evolved into a bird that could not fly but could only hop forward. The dodo had a unique appearance and a gentle nature. In the 15th century, Europeans arrived on the island with hunting dogs and guns, marking the beginning of the dodo's misfortune. Uncontrolled hunting, along with the destruction of dodo eggs by dogs and introduced livestock, led to the complete extinction of the dodo in less than 200 years.
Interestingly, after the dodo became extinct, a precious tree species on the island, the Sideroxylon grandiflorum, “dodo tree," also became rare, with only 13 trees left. It seemed on the verge of disappearing. The dodo tree, which grows up to 30 meters tall and can live for 300 years, has hard wood and a beautiful form. It can be used for building materials as well as for greening. It is found only in Mauritius. Scientists eventually solved the mystery when they found undigested dodo tree fruits in the remains of dodos.
The seeds of the dodo tree need to have their thick, hard outer shell removed to germinate. The dodo bird would eat the fruit, digesting the flesh and the seed's outer shell, allowing the seeds expelled from the body to truly take root and sprout. The dodo tree relied on the dodo for the processing of its seeds to continue its lineage. After the dodo's extinction, the dodo tree's seeds could no longer break their shells on their own and gradually moved towards extinction. The dodo shows us the harmony of nature - the bird and the tree, the tree and its environment, in a mutual coexistence. Humans and nature are a community of life; respecting, adapting to, and protecting nature is the foundation for humans to live happily and harmoniously on Earth.
The relationship between Dodo Bird and Mother philosophy.
Inspired by the story of the dodo and the dodo tree, because to the dodo tree, every dodo, whether male or female, was its mother. Many ancient values that support family harmony are in crisis: "love and trust" are heavily wrapped in "demands and returns"; "light and warmth" in "investment and consumption"; "creativity and autonomy" in "grades and diplomas"; "relationships and ecosystems" in "role setting and social division of labor". Even in human society and family life, there's a great need for the "grinding" provided by the dodos. Underneath these heavy wrappings, the vitality of children, the harmonious happiness of parents, the sustainable development of families, and the ability to create value in life... these "dodo tree seeds" can't sprout. What do we do?
Therefore, we need the dodos' ability to help themselves and others. Modernized life and networked existence, while bringing us convenience, also wrap us in new challenges. Only by becoming dodos, helping parents and children thin the thick shells of their spirits and actions, can we help true relationships sprout and grow strong, becoming a lush forest.

渡渡鸟的故事
曾经生活在毛里求斯岛上的渡渡鸟，因为没有天敌，又有着丰富的食物，在长期进化的过程中，它变成不会飞只会跳跃前进的鸟。渡渡鸟的长相奇特，但是性格很温顺。15世纪，带着猎枪和猎犬的欧洲人登上了岛，渡渡鸟的厄运就来临了。猎人无节制的捕杀，猎狗和人带来的家畜对渡渡鸟蛋的破坏，导致不到200年的时间里，渡渡鸟彻底灭绝了。
很奇特的是，渡渡鸟灭绝后，岛上一种珍贵的树木「大颅榄树」也开始稀少了，仅仅剩下13棵。眼看就要在地球上消失了。大颅榄树高30米，寿命300年，木质坚硬，树姿秀美，既可作建筑用材，也可作绿化树木，全世界只有毛里求斯才有。最后科学家在渡渡鸟的遗骸中发现了未消化的大颅榄树的果实，才解开了谜团。
大颅榄树的种子发芽的前提，是要去掉种子的一层厚实坚硬的外壳，渡渡鸟吃掉果实，消化掉果肉和种子的外壳，这样排除体外的种子才能真正的生根发芽。大颅榄正是靠渡渡鸟对种子的加工才得以传宗接代。渡渡鸟灭绝后，大颅榄树的种子无法自行破壳，渐渐走向灭亡。在渡渡鸟的身上，我们看到大自然的和谐，鸟和树，树和环境，这样相互依偎的共存，人类与自然是生命共同体，尊重自然，顺应自然，保护自然，这是人类在地球上幸福和谐生活的基础。
渡渡鸟和妈妈哲学的关系
受到渡渡鸟和大颅榄的故事的启发。因为渡渡鸟，无论公鸟还是母鸟，都是大颅榄的妈妈。很多支持家庭和谐的古老价值陷入了危机:“爱和信任”被“要求和回报”重重包裹，“光明和温暖”被“投入和消费”重重包裹，“创造力和自主性”被“成绩和文凭”重重包裹，“关系和生态圈” 被 “角色设定和社会分工”重重包裹。 即使在人类社会、家庭生活中，也超级需要“渡渡鸟”们的研磨。 被重重包裹下，孩子的生命力，爸爸妈妈的和谐幸福力，家庭的可持续发展力，人生中的价 值创造能力......这些“大颅榄种子”没法发芽儿了，怎么办？
所以需要渡渡鸟们渡人渡己的能力。现代化生活，网络化生存，在带给我们便利的同时，也把我们包裹在新的挑战中。我们只有变成渡渡鸟，帮助妈妈爸爸和孩子把自己心灵和行为上厚厚的壳磨薄，才能帮助真正的关系发芽、茁壮，蔚然成林。
